On July 12, the State Post Office announced the operation of the postal industry in the first half of 2019. Data show that in the first half of this year, the business income of postal industry (excluding the direct business income of postal savings bank) reached 452.86 billion yuan, up 21.1% year on year; the total business volume reached 715.85 billion yuan, up 29.5% year on year. In June, the business income of the whole industry reached 81.66 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22%; the total business volume reached 136.91 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.8%.

In the first half of the year, the total volume of postal service business reached 118.32 billion yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year; the total volume of postal delivery service business reached 11.93 billion pieces, an increase of 0.5% over the previous year; the total revenue of postal delivery service business reached 20.94 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1% over the previous year. In June, the total volume of postal service business reached 19.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%; the volume of postal delivery service business reached 1.97 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%; the revenue of postal delivery service business reached 3.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%.

In the first half of the year, the business volume of national express service enterprises has reached 27.76 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 25.7%; the business income has reached 339.67 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%. Among them, 5.08 billion pieces of business were completed in the same city, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%; 22.04 billion pieces of business were completed in different places, a year-on-year increase of 33.9%; 630 million pieces of business were completed in international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, a year-on-year increase of 21.2%. In June, the business volume of national express service enterprises reached 5.46 billion pieces, with a year-on-year growth of 29.1%; the business income reached 64.32 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 26.5%.

In the first half of the year, the express business volume of the same city, different places and international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounted for 18.3%, 79.4% and 2.3% of the total express business volume respectively, and the business revenue accounted for 10.5%, 52.5% and 10% of the total Express revenue respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of intra city express business volume decreased by 4.7 percentage points, the proportion of non local express business volume increased by 4.8 percentage points, and the proportion of international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business volume decreased by 0.1 percentage points.

In the first half of the year, the proportion of express business volume in the eastern, central and western regions was 80.1%, 12.6% and 7.3% respectively, and the proportion of business income was 80.5%, 11.1% and 8.4% respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of express business volume in the eastern region decreased by 0.2 percentage points, and the proportion of express business income increased by 0.2 percentage points; the proportion of express business volume in the central region increased by 0.6 percentage points, and the proportion of express business income was basically flat; the proportion of express business volume in the western region decreased by 0.4 percentage points, and the proportion of express business income decreased by 0.2 percentage points.

In addition, the CR8 of express and parcel service brand concentration index in the first half of the year was 81.7, up 0.1 from January to May.
